In this story the Norwegian journalist makes reference to the Province of Ontario in Canada. In his story he writes: "... i motsetning til delstaten Ontario." The internal political and geographic divisions in Canada are provinces. Canada, like China, Afghanistan, Sri-Lanka, and several other countries in the world uses provinces. Canada has been using the French system of provinces for 344 years when Canada first became a Royal Province of France. The Norwegian word for province is "provins." An e-mail was sent to the author to let him know about this mistake, but it has never been fixed. Why do so many Norwegian journalists think Canada uses "states"? Mexico and the USA are the only two countries in North America with states, Canada does not. In addition, the Canadian province of Ontario in central Canada is the largest manufacturers of automobiles in North America; more than Michigan in the USA.
