In this story about the sport of curling in Canada the Norwegian journalist writes about "The Sports Network (TSN)," Canada's largest television sports network. He writes "TSN (Turner Sports Network – en kanal som viser ishockey, baseball, og er størst i Canada innen sport) rangerer curling som ”#1 sport.”" Canada's The Sports Network (TSN) is called "The Sports Network" not the "Turner Sports Network" as the journalist writes. Ted Turner is an American, not a Canadian, and owns CNN and other media networks in the USA. The "T" in Canada's TSN is for the word "The", not for Turner as in "Ted Turner". How, why, and from what source would a Norwegian journalist think Canada's largest sports network is named after a foreigner from the USA named Ted Turner? Was it a guess? An assumption? And if so, was it another one the many Norwegian guesses that it must be the same in Canada? This would be like a Canadian journalist writing that NRK is the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation. What is wrong with so many journalists in the Norwegian media that they apply USA's media, culture, terminology, politics, etc. to Canada, where they don't apply because Canada is NOT THE SAME COUNTRY? FYI: "September 1, 1984 - The Sports Network signs on as Canada's first and only national 24-hour sports television network, with 323,000 subscribers." How and why would someone in Norway's Curlingforbund call Canada's largest sports network after Ted Turner, who is not Canadian, and not from Canada, and is a media person from the USA, which is a foreign country and NOT part of Canada?
