The dog race he is talking about - Iditarod - does not take place in Canada. This is not a Canadian race. This is an American race that take place in the Alaska in the USA. Norwegians and Canadians have competed in this race, but it is an American race, and does not take place in Canada. From the Canadian sports network TSN: "Each year, competitors gather in Anchorage, Alaska, (USA) and travel by dogsled 2,500 kilometres to Nome, across jagged mountain ranges, frozen rivers, desolate tundra, kilometres of wind-swept coastline in sub-zero temperatures all to claim the honour of winner of the Iditarod Dog Sled Race." The story was corrected the next day.
